Why I don’t put babies in teacups…or on sheepskin rugs…

“What props will you be bringing to the shoot?”…….er..none!!

“If I provide the teacup will you take the photos?”………erm nope!!

I have thought loooong and hard over the years about trying to adopt the latest portrait craze for the sake of getting a few extra bookings….there have been a few in all the years I have had my photography business….spot colour…remember that one??! I said “no” to that one too….

I’m not being precious about my work, I am just staying true to myself…

My photography is self taught – have lots of letters after my name – but none of them relate to photography….

My style is exactly that I’m afraid… “MY” style…and for me to get the best out of each shoot I have to do it my way.   I will absolutely listen to ideas and collaborate, and I LOVE it when clients come to me with ideas…..but soz…..no teacups, or pans….or baskets, my shoots are all about you, being you!!

Sometimes its hard to remember to stay true to yourself …but its always worth it don’t you think?? xx
